The conference will start with a dinner on the 16 th February 2006 at Hotel Brandlhof (www.brandlhof.at) in Saalfelden, Austria and will be held on 17 February 2006 immediately after the VDA Winter Meeting (14 to 16 February 2006).

The conference will include 100-150 participants. We envisage that about a third would be policy advisers/makers in the EU Member States and other parts of the world. The rest would be industry experts & decision makers from car and component manufacturer as well as some from academia and NGOs.

As the target group of the conference is the policy advisors/makers in the Member States and the Commission, the aim is to have the technical information presented in such a manner that the policy advisers/makers can absorb it in a policy relevant manner.
